Courtney Szanto Assistant Consultant

I support local authorities to understand and calculate their greenhouse emissions and work on a variety of inventory compilation projects.

Courtney Szanto, Assistant Consultant

Courtney graduated from Durham University with a BSc. in Environmental Geoscience where she examined the correlation between UK precipitation and the North Atlantic Oscillation.

She enjoys supporting local authorities respond to their climate emergency declarations and assists in developing emission trajectories to achieve carbon neutrality. She has contributed to a range of projects including:

  • Compiling a baseline greenhouse gas emissions inventory for the West Northamptonshire unitary area and aiding in developing potential pathways to achieve carbon neutrality
  • Producing a literature review for the European Environment Agency assessing the impact of COVID-19 on EU Member States’ projected NECD air pollutant compliance
  • Contributing to Aether’s involvement in the compilation of the UK Devolved Administration’s air pollutant inventory

Outside of work Courtney enjoys travelling, reading, and knitting.
