Joe has joined Aether as an Assistant Consultant and is providing technical support to a variety of UK, European and broader international projects, focusing largely on industrial reporting, as well as inventory compilation and projections.

Recent projects include:

- Supporting the development of a facility-level GHG reporting system for Qatar by providing reporting templates and guidance for the identified facilities, focusing on IPCC-related emissions and source data.

- Contributing to the writing of official manuals for the EEA, whilst gaining knowledge of the intricacies of the relevant EU legislation.

-  Compiling GHG and air pollutant emissions estimates for various key sectors for each of the Devolved Administrations of the UK.

- Working with the Isle of Man Government to identify and calculate the Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions associated with the culturally and historically significant Isle of Man TT event. The audit of the TT will inform a strategic plan to reduce emissions for future TT events.

- Working with the Isle of Man Government to create a model of emissions projected out to 2050, along with a dashboard to visualise the results. 

Before starting at Aether Joe studied for a BA in Philosophy at Cambridge University as well as a MASc in Data Visualisation at Warwick University. His masters dissertation focused on the creation of a novel etymological database, which was presented through an interactive visualisation on his own website.

Joe continues to enjoy the field of philosophy and working on personal coding projects, combining these with a broad interest in historical linguistics; as well as hiking and camping whenever the weather allows.
