Bid Manager
The role
You will be part of a successful business development team, supporting and collaborating in finding and responding to prospects and bidding opportunities.
A key part of the role is collaborating with technical teams to bring together successful bids, providing bid leadership, and promoting best bidding practice. The role focuses on managing the preparation, development and delivery of winning bid responses that meet client requirements.
The role will provide you with the opportunity to learn and develop an understanding of the impacts of climate change on society and be part of a leading advisory team.
Required experience and skills
- Collaboration: Promote collaborative working practices to ensure bids are delivered on time and stress free.
- Seeking for improvements: Support the ongoing development and improvement of our work winning processes and tools.
- Communication: Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, at every level of the company. Demonstrate confidence in dealing with a range of internal and external people at various levels.
- Leadership: Be able to manage and motivate the bid team to achieve milestones within the time-scales. Maintain confident control of all bid content and be prepared to challenge and manage the team. Promote a culture of sharing knowledge, insights and learning.
- Organisation: Flexibility to cope with several activities simultaneously to specific deadlines, strong time management/prioritisation skills and attention to detail.
- Quality Management: Production of high-quality outputs for external audiences ensuring document accuracy and visual appeal, including editing and proof-reading skills.
- Digital Skills: be proficient Microsoft Office programmes, screening for data through web searches and familiar with using various online bid submission portals.
Location
Oxford - we are based in a fantastic city centre location, but we also offer the flexibility to work from home.

Renumeration
We offer competitive salaries based on the skills, experience, capabilities and role of each of our employees.
Guided salary for this role will be from £30,000 to £45,000.
