Air Quality Consultant

Aether specialises in air quality data collection, processing and analysis and the development of transparent reporting systems that underpin the development and assessment of air quality strategies, policies and action plans. We are also actively involved in several research programmes supporting the development of new approaches.
Our clients include BEIS, Defra, DfT, RSSB, TfL, UK local authorities, the European Commission and the European Environment Agency, as well as national governments in developed and developing countries. We are currently working in the UK, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.
As a result of the growth in our air quality business, we are looking for Consultants to join our team.
The Role
The successful candidates will work with our company Directors and Business Area Leads to deliver across our portfolio of air quality projects and support new business development. The role offers excellent career development opportunities to lead projects, expand our customer base, and develop new and innovative products and services.
Required Experience and Skills
- Educated to at least degree level in a scientific subject (Masters preferred)
- 5+ years’ experience in air quality area and previous experience of working in an environmental consulting
- Experience of the economic assessment of policies and / or cost benefit analysis advantageous
- Strong track record of project management and delivery including written reports, provision of datasets and presentations
- Track record of business development and client engagement preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated, with a thorough attention to detail
- Fluent English, additional language skills would be advantageous.

Aether offers an attractive remuneration and benefits package including:
- Salary –up to £42,000 per annum dependent on experience
- Annual leave, 32 days (bank holidays included)

- Flexible location with regular visits to our Oxford office.
