Assistant Consultant
Aether is a growing consultancy at the forefront of greenhouse gas (GHG) and air quality emissions calculation and review, in international, national and local authority markets. We are looking for highly numerate graduates, preferably with a knowledge of air quality and climate change. We value pro-active staff who are well organised, show attention to detail, and exude a passion for skill development and continued learning.
Job summary:
Successful applicants will contribute to a wide-ranging project portfolio across Aether, as well as business development tasks.
The postholders will spend most of their time working on technical projects, undertaking data handling/processing, desk-based research, and presenting/discussing the results with the project managers. Contributions to other project areas such as report writing, presentations and meetings with customers can also be expected, as well as some administrative tasks.
Required Skills:
- A 1st or 2:1 in a relevant scientific subject (preferably at Masters level);
- Excellent numerical and data handling skills within MS Excel are essential;
- Good organisational skills, and the ability to work on simultaneous tasks;
- Fluent English, a high standard of report writing, and good interpersonal skills;
An understanding of air pollution and/or greenhouse gases would be particularly advantageous, but is not essential;
Experience of using GIS, R, and/or other statistical and data visualisation software packages would be beneficial;
