Aether contributed to an analysis of procurement (scope 3) emissions reporting in the Scottish public sector, as summarised in this ClimateXChange report for the Scottish Government. This report aims to demonstrate approaches and tools available to Scottish public bodies to understand and report their supply chain emissions and provide options for action to improve supply chain reporting across the public sector.

The upcoming guidance for quantitative carbon reporting (QCR) within Local Transport Plan 4 will require authorities to estimate current and predict future carbon emissions from their transport plans. For elected members, chief executives and sectoral directors the LTP 4 period will mark a golden opportunity to use climate data to support decision making on a larger set of growth challenges such as cost of living, aging populations, levelling up, and spiralling health problems.
